Great Car
By A LaCie | on 7/9/2026 12:12:07 AM
It is 2026. I have over 201k miles on my 2008 Mazda Tribute GT. I had some trans issues around 154k mi, got a little reconditioning done, and my car continues to run like new. I enjoy the styling and comfort of my GT. I've never had electrical issues and my car is just beginning to rust a bit underneath. I plan on driving it into the ground. The acceleration is fine for me, and I drive like I'm in Nascar. My car is smooth and comfortable at my usual 80-90mph on the highway. I put very little maintenance or care into my car and it is very reliable. I drive it through my fields at home, even with it only being FWD. It carries my kayak comfortably on the highway without slowing me down. It's been all up and down the East Coast, and up and down mountains. Not sure what other peoples issues are with this car! I gave it 4 stars only because my 2002 tribute ES had more interior space which I've missed over the years. That one had over 225k mi when it kissed a deer and got totaled. I've had 5 mazdas over the years (multiples at a time) and they've all been fun! Hated my Subaru's, but also love(d) the Honda/Acura cars I own(ed).… - 5.0
